Things to DO

MT.TABOR Towering over Hawthorne Boulevard is Mt Tabor, the world's only extinct volcano that resides within city limits! Mt Tabor is a great park and offers just beautiful views of the city and Mt Hood (our main photo is a snapshot of Mt Hood through the trees at the top of Mt Tabor). If you're looking for some exercise, it's a walk but a long one from any of our vacation rentals up to top. Most choose instead to drive to the parking lot then walk up to the summit. There you'll join other locals there to enjoy a picnic under the trees and breathtaking views.   Just travel East up Hawthorne or Stark Street.... you can't miss it!
Laurelhurst Park
E 39th Ave and SE Stark

Laurelhurst Park is an easy walk from all of our vacation rentals, and won't disappoint. The park offers shade and quiet respite from the city. The large pond... the trees... a slice of Portland Heaven!  Bring a book and relax in the grass, but be prepared to find the dog and people watching more interesting than even your favorite read! The park is a perfect place for a picnic, early evening stroll, or a leisurely jog.
